The Australian Financial Review published a series of articles on management education on October 31st (I'm still catching up on what's been happening in Australia while I've been away). Definitely worth the read. Describes the advantages and disadvantages of undertaking a US MBA and returning to Australia afterwards, versus studying and working locally.
